Definitely my favorite restaurant in New Iberia. The Seafood Heaven is just, well heavenly! The rolls are the best in town. This year we went for their special Valentine's Dinner. It was amazing and super romantic. I love how they only have two seatings so it felt private & special. May have to make this our new tradition.

We are tourist exploring outside of New Orleans and love our night and day at the Gardens. We stayed in the Cook Cottage on the grounds. Watched sunset over the lake and the moon rise for our veranda. My wife and I were they only one we saw after 6:00 pm. Very comfortable cottage that included snacks, a bottle of wine and breakfast goodies. In the morning we toured the Jefferson Mansion and learned the stories of Jefferson Island. Great place to stay.

Not to be missed!! This is an absolute Louisiana treasure! Beautiful home and gardens. Staff friendly and knowledgeable! This place has a spectacular view by the lake back of gift shop. I asked about the b&b and found the quoted prices reasonable and considering staying sometime. The home is full of beautiful antiques and so much history! Peacocks are beautiful!

Great place to spend an afternoon or the entire day. The course of action is to first; eat at the Café, second; tour the Joseph Jefferson House, third; peruse the gardens and take in the beautiful scenery, and finally fourth; spend all your spare change on knick-knacks in the Gift Shop. The garden is now and has always been my favorite place to go when I'm in this part of Louisiana. Stay at the Bed & Breakfast for a real treat!

Stunningly Beautiful. Such an awesome experience. The wedding set up was definitely a deciding factor on choosing this place for my wedding next year.

This is a special place. I like gardens, but this place has something many gardens do not: a Soul. You feel you are in a sacred place. What really stands out is the very location of the gardens - nestled on a lake that offers the most angelic of breezes. Everything merges together into something extraordinarily special.

Stayed here at their Bed & Breakfast. Amazing! Amazing, when the house closed and guests went home, it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves.

I can not say enough good things about Rip Van winkle Gardens. It is truly a hidden gem in south Louisiana. The gardens are beautiful, the wildlife is wonderful, the view on the lake is breath taking. I have visited twice this year and as we were sitting on the bank of the lake yesterday we were planning our next trip. I also love Cafe Jefferson, the tour guides in the home and the gift shop staff! I'm looking forward to returning as well as planning an overnight stay soon!

The grounds and home were just beautiful. Friendly staff made you feel welcome. We enjoyed the best tasting Gumbo in Louisiana. We took so many pictures that looked better than the last. The peacocks actually walked right next to you doing there own thing. We enjoyed our day and would recommend seeing and hearing how this property came to be.
